AHARA is a Rockville, Maryland biotech company, and we supply bulk Reishi extract from our own operation. We grow it, extract it and pack it in one place. The extract contains both fruiting body and mycelium, and no tissue ratio is specified. Extraction is water-based, with no ethanol and no methanol at any stage, and gentle enough that the mushroom’s own structure survives it.

An extraction that leaves the mushroom intact
The process is the reason the rest of this holds. Extraction is aqueous from start to finish, with no ethanol and no methanol, and all 26 ganoderic acids are recovered that way. It is gentle enough that the mushroom’s own structure survives it.
Original transmission electron microscopy, imaged at the University of Maryland at 80 kV and 15,000x, documents the naturally occurring nanofiber structures that survive that process. The fiber runs about 190 nm across, roughly 370 times thinner than a human hair, and it is naturally occurring rather than added, engineered or milled in. It is what lets a finished product be fast acting: taken under the tongue, the actives cross tissue rather than going through the gut. Independent metabolomic characterization on complementary CE-MS and LC-MS panels names and maps over 2,000 metabolites in the material that process produces.
