AHARA is a Rockville, Maryland biotech company, and we grow and extract our own Lion’s Mane. The extract contains fruiting body and mycelium. The process is water-based, with no ethanol and no methanol used in extraction, and gentle enough that the mushroom’s own structure survives it.

The extract contains both fruiting body and mycelium, and no tissue ratio is specified. The growing substrate is organic red oak and soy from Maine, certified at the supplier, started from elite grain spawn. For teams evaluating a characterized fruiting-body-and-mycelium ingredient in a liquid product, we offer two supplied formats, technical source records and a 1 kg minimum for pilot procurement.

Characterization for your technical review

Independent metabolomic characterization on complementary CE-MS and LC-MS panels names and maps over 2,000 metabolites, giving your team an analytical record to examine alongside the current-lot documentation. Methods, annotation confidence and the analyzed batch scope are in the report and the public dataset.

The work is published rather than asserted. The dataset is on Zenodo under DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21905399, CC BY 4.0, with a companion preprint on ChemRxiv (10.26434/chemrxiv.15007427/v1), analyzed at Human Metabolome Technologies on CE-FTMS and LC-MS/MS panels. Both species are covered in the same dataset, so a Lion’s Mane figure can be traced to its own sample record and cited in your specification file.

Results are reported per species. A Lion’s Mane figure comes from a Lion’s Mane sample, and the sample record travels with it.

Water-based extraction, and a liquid that is fast acting

The process is aqueous from start to finish, with no ethanol and no methanol. It is gentle enough that the mushroom’s own structure survives extraction, which is why the naturally occurring nanofiber is present in the liquid we ship at all.

The ingredient also arrives already in solution, so it drops into your existing process rather than adding a unit operation. Taken under the tongue, a liquid lets the actives cross tissue rather than going through the gut, so fast acting becomes a claim your brand gets to make.
