AHARA Sleep Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AHARA (“we,” “us,” “our”) handles information in the AHARA Sleep mobile application (the “App”). It applies only to the App. It is separate from the privacy policy for the aharamushrooms.com online store.
By using the App you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Who we are

Information we collect
We collect only what the App needs to function.
Account information. Your email address and the display name you choose when you create an account.
Health and sleep information. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
- Sleep sessions, sleep stages, and duration
- Heart rate
- Sleep logs you enter yourself
- Responses to in-app sleep questionnaires (for example the Insomnia Severity Index)
- Body metrics you choose to enter, such as weight
Wearable connection data. If you connect a device (Apple Health, Oura, WHOOP, or Fitbit via the Google Health API), we store the authorization tokens needed to sync your data and the sleep and heart-rate data returned by that service.
App activity and diagnostics. Basic in-app event and diagnostic data (such as which screens you open and error information) that we use to keep the App working. This is collected by us directly and is not shared with third-party advertising or analytics companies.
Rewards activity. If you use rewards or referrals, we store points, redemptions, and the discount codes issued to you.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
How we use your information
We use your information only to:
- Provide the App’s core features, including your sleep trends and personalized insights
- Sync data from wearables and Apple Health that you choose to connect
- Operate the rewards and referral program
- Maintain, secure, debug, and improve the App
- Respond to your requests and provide support
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build advertising or marketing profiles from it.
Apple Health (HealthKit)
If you connect Apple Health, the App reads the sleep and heart-rate data you authorize, and can write back sleep sessions you log. In accordance with Apple’s requirements:
- We use Apple Health data solely to provide health and fitness features inside the App.
- We do not use Apple Health data for advertising or marketing, and we do not use it for any data-mining purposes unrelated to your health and fitness.
- We do not sell Apple Health data, and we do not share it with third parties for their advertising.
- Apple Health data is stored securely and is deleted when you delete your account or disconnect the source.
Google Health API (Fitbit) data
If you connect Fitbit through the Google Health API, the App’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use this data only to provide and improve the sleep features you request. We do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide those features, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers that run the App on our behalf, under contract and only to provide their service. These include Supabase (secure database and authentication) and, for account features on the web, Google Firebase (authentication).
- Wearable and health platforms you connect, in order to retrieve the data you ask us to sync.
- Shopify, when you redeem rewards, so a discount code can be applied to your order. This uses your email to match your account.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- Business transfers, as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account & data in the App. You can also disconnect any wearable at any time. On deletion we remove your personal data from our active systems within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.
Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and access controls, and store data with reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to opt out of certain processing. You can exercise the core of these rights directly in the App (data export and account deletion), or contact us at ajay@aharamushrooms.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Consumer health data (such as sleep and related metrics) is subject to specific state laws in the United States. We collect and process this data only with your consent and only to provide the features you request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with an updated effective date, and for material changes we will provide notice in the App.
