AHARA Sleep App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AHARA LLC ("AHARA," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the AHARA Sleep mobile application (the "App"). It is specific to the App and is in addition to the privacy policy for our online store.

Who we are

Information we collect

  • Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and the display name you choose. You may also use the App without an account in a limited, anonymous mode.
  • Sleep information you enter. Your sleep logs, sleep scores, journal notes, a daily "Took AHARA" toggle, and answers to optional in-app sleep questionnaires and diagnostics.
  • Health and wearable data. Only with your explicit permission, the App reads sleep and related metrics from Apple Health (HealthKit) and, if you choose to connect them, from Oura and WHOOP. This may include sleep duration, sleep stages, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, and recovery.
  • Usage and device information. Basic information about how you use the App and standard technical and diagnostic data, used to operate and improve the App.

How we use your information

  • To provide core features: showing your nightly score, your weekly trend, and the before-and-after comparison of your sleep on nights you do and do not take AHARA.
  • To generate personalized, educational suggestions and track streaks, points, and milestones.
  • To show de-identified, aggregated community averages.
  • To maintain, secure, and improve the App.

Apple Health (HealthKit) data

Health data obtained through HealthKit is used solely to provide features inside the App, such as displaying your sleep metrics and trends. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or data-mining purposes. We do not use HealthKit data for any purpose other than your health and fitness as permitted by Apple. You can revoke the App's access to Health data at any time in the iOS Settings app or the Health app.

How your data is stored and shared

Your account and sleep data are stored securely using our backend service provider (Supabase). Connections to Oura and WHOOP use those services' secure authorization (OAuth); we receive only the data you authorize. We use trusted service providers to operate the App, and they may process data only on our behalf and under our instructions. We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices and rights

  • You can revoke Health or wearable permissions at any time.
  • You can request access to or deletion of your account and associated data by emailing ajay@aharamushrooms.com.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. When you request deletion, we remove your personal data except where we are required to keep it by law.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

Children

The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the effective date above when we do.
